Tim Bastian

Tim has been a licensed securities representative since 2002 and joined Manarin in 2003. Tim grew up near Buffalo, NY in a small dairy farming and manufacturing community. After completing his undergraduate Bachelors degree in Quantitative Business Analysis at Penn State University, he received his officer’s commission into the United States Air Force as a Second Lieutenant. Tim spent 7 years on active duty in the Air Force serving in Biloxi, Mississippi, Boston, Syracuse, NY, and Colorado Springs. During this time he attained the rank of Captain and held leadership positions as his unit’s Executive Officer and later as a faculty member at the United States Air Force Academy, where he taught Economics. Also during his service time, Tim completed two Master’s degrees. The first, a Master of Science in Systems Management from Western New England College and the second, a Master of Arts in Economics from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University.

Tim teaches the Wealth Building Seminars in Lincoln and also teaches Economics at Creighton University where he has been part of the faculty since 2005.  In 2010 Tim was nominated for Teaching for Tomorrow Faculty Award which is a way for Creighton students to publicly acknowledge faculty members who have positively impacted their lives by going above and beyond the call of duty.

 Tim resides in Omaha with his wife of 22 years, Paula, and their five children and two black labs. They are members of St. Vincent de Paul Church in Omaha.
